Talk Choice is a website developed and maintained by MSD. It aims to inform and educate women about the full range of contraceptive options available to them. Our aim is that, along with their healthcare professionals, women are able to choose a suitable method that works with their body and lifestyle.
Getting the method right is important. If contraception doesn't fit with a woman's lifestyle it might not be used properly, increasing the risk of unplanned pregnancy. Around half of pregnancies in the UK are still unplanned despite over three quarters of women under 50 using some form of contraception.
The Talk Choice website supports national guidelines that recommend women requiring contraception should be given information about and given a choice of all contraceptive methods, including long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) methods (including the intrauterine device (IUD), hormonal injection, intrauterine system (IUS) and contraceptive implant).
